Fees are assessed based on your country of domicile, with students domiciled in the EU charged international fees. We offer an extended degree in this subject that you can access with lower entry requirements. You’ll have access to an extensive network of computer facilities throughout your course, including high performance PCs for industrial standard ECAD, Unix workstations and a large number of embedded processors for lab work. These resources are complemented by specialist electronics, telecommunications and networked laboratories and research facilities. Our courses are developed in collaboration with a wide range of industry sectors to give a broad but relevant degree so teaching won’t just be standard lectures and you’ll be encouraged to discover how science fiction becomes fact. Foundations of Computer Scienceintroduces you to the concepts and practices of problem solving through a series of innovative class seminars and individual experiments. You will learn to identify a problem, analyse it, and produce a structured solution. Exploring common issues within computing, you will also see how all of the separate areas merge, overlap and depend on each other in order for a robust computing system to be developed. All our courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. A four-year MEng meets all the academic standards for Chartered Engineer status. If you take our three-year BEng, you’ll need to complete some further learning to satisfy the requirements.
